The REALTORS® as Neighbors Foundation is a helping hand of the Lake Superior Area REALTORS® to provide volunteers, fundraising and contributions to organizations or individuals to assist with natural disaster relief, homebuyer education services, homeowner assistance, or community relief organizations.

Support We Offer To Our Community

All proceeds for fundraising activities are donated back to our local communities in many ways. The needs we met for recipients ranged from sewer back-up cleaning costs, roof repairs, helping with the costs of making a home more wheelchair accessible, first-time home buyers grants and help with an estate that was unmanageable by the inheritor.

Financial Relief

We support homeowners who need help with unexpected household expenses and disaster relief. This includes recovering from fire or flood, utility bills, repairs required by insurance, and covering insurance deductibles when funds are scarce.

Volunteering

We have clocked countless hours supporting local organizations, including the adoption of a local city of Superior park.

Downpayment Assistance

To help offset the cost of purchasing a home, limited $1000 downpayment assistance grants are available. The application is made in partnership with the lender, and funds are applied at closing of the buyer’s new home.

Organizational Support

We’ve supported organization goals, including education programs surrounding homeownership readiness, and homeless support.

Covid-19 Relief

During the threat of Covid-19, the REALTORS® as Neighbors Foundation helped provide support for specific housing related hardship, including relief due to loss of wages.

Information Hub

Directors represent a cross-section of careers in real estate, we are a great information resource for local homeownership opportunities and support.
